
July 2, 2008 – Bayou Region, LA – The South Louisiana Economic Council, Bayou Region Technical Assistance Network , in cooperation with the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce, will hold a mid-day seminar to examine ways to leverage technologies that are easy-to-use, powerful and that can have a significant impact on a small business’s ability to compete. The seminar will be held at the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce offices, 7332 Highway 182East, from 11 am until 1 pm Tuesday, July 15 and includes lunch. There is no fee to attend but advanced registration is required by calling the South Louisiana Economic Council at 985-448-4485. Online registration is also available at www.bayouregion.com.
The Brown Bag and Business series is part of an ongoing focus on assisting small businesses in the parishes most affected by the 2005 storms and is provided through the South Louisiana Economic Council, Louisiana Economic Development, the Louisiana Business and Technology Center and the Bayou Region Chambers of Commerce. To date, several hundred small businesses have received education and assistance through the Technical Assistance Network.
